The lamb's fleece was white like snow The lamb made sure to go to all the places that Mary went to, following her wherever she went. One day, it followed Mary to school, but the lamb was not allowed inside because the school didn't entertain pets. This song originated in the 19th century. A statue representing Mary's Little Lamb stands in the town centre of Massachusetts. This song also has a relation with the great scientist, Thomas Alva Edison, who recorded the song in his then-recent invention, phonograph.
